The Time Is Now To Start Becoming A Conservationist
It really wasn’t that too far back in time that being a conservationist had its down sides. Back then conservationists tended to wear tiedyed shirts and had girlfriends that were vegetarians with hairy armpits. There was no point in trying to engage them in conversation. Every time they opened their mouths all that came out was fruitloop nonsense about global warming global spikes in food and energy prices and rising animal extinction rates that were looming twenty years in the future.
Back When Times Were Good
Who wanted to listen to that nonsensical crap and besides everyone was happy with dollaragallon gasoline and great adjustable rate mortgages that were allowing every Joesixpak in the U.S. to finally own the million dollar home of their dreams. Times were good back then and being a conservationist was not something that most people wanted to be.
Its Never too Late to Start
How the times have changed because now conservation is in fact quite cool. This means that a lot of people just like yourself are playing catchup. People are finding out that those tiedyed hippie conservationists that were treated like social outcasts in fact had a lot of good information to offer. So how are you now going to lighten your carbon footprint when your full sized SUV still has two years of payments left on it?
Begin With Your Home
The best way to be begin being a good conservationist is to start with your home. This is where you spend a majority of you time and where most of your consumption is done. There are great places online that you can visit that will show you how to save energy use less water and begin instituting your own recycling program.
Become More Politicly Aware
Also it is important now more than ever that you vote for politicians that are conservationists. This means that you have to research their policies carefully and make sure that they are not just mouth pieces for oil companies and multi national corporations. The next time you are watching your favorite candidate on TV ask yourself is he the most handsome and personable or is he the most conservation minded?
