Create a ‘todolist’ or a work schedule for each day is a great way to organise your work and other duties. By not planning your schedule properly one will forget about things to tend to and as a result you will become more stressed and have work piled up.

To know how to make an effective work at home schedule follow the tips below:

Tip 1 When planning your schedule make sure you have a few hours to play or talk to your kids because if you don’t spend time with them at home then what is the point of working from home? And if your kids are old enough maybe schooling age have them help you with some easy household chores. It would be a good way to strengthen your relationship with them. Your spouse is important too. Don’t neglect him and schedule a ‘date night’ once a week and if necessary find a babysitter for that night.

Tip 2 It will be great if you’re a work at home mum and able to multitask. This is because it will save you time. Time is money. But even more importantly the less time you spend at work the more time you have for yourself and your family.

When you’re working try to be as productive as you can. Some home planning or a little bit of time management will help save you approximately six to eight hours a week. First off remember to plan your schedule on a ‘todolist’ a few days before. Otherwise you may be rest assured that you will forget about something.

Tip 3 When working use a timer. This is a way of keeping yourself from overworking and neglect your family. An example would be getting yourself carried away with work and forgetting to prepare dinner for the family.

One way or another running your home business successfully and spending adequate time with your family is possible. A little bit of time planning and being an organized individual will help you climb the ladder of success.
